Queen Elizabeth in 3D will also feature some amazing footage from past royal visits:
- In 1951 the young Princess Elizabeth visited almost the entire country. Everywhere she went the crowds turned out to see her.
- She came back to open our parliament in 1957. She gave the speech from her throne wearing her Coronation gown.
- Two years later she was here for the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The first official vessel through the Seaway was the Royal Yacht Britannia – with Her Majesty, Prime Minister John Diefenbaker and US President Dwight D. Eisenhower on board.
- Along with seventeen million other visitors she came to Montreal for Expo ’67.
- In 1982 she sat down with Prime Minister Trudeau to sign the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
- With the Great One standing beside her she dropped the puck in Vancouver in 2002.
Queen Elizabeth in 3D presents Her Majesty as you have never seen her before.
Queen Elizabeth in 3D is an historic milestone in Canadian broadcasting. It is the first 3D documentary to be broadcast in Canada.
